The blog formerly known as "Angus Nicolson - an incredulous eye on the isles" this was the blog of an ordinary, boring, former Councillor in the Western Isles of Scotland.
Angus is taking a sabbatical to be with his young family
Debate strengthens democracy, except inside the SNP, as he has discovered. If you want balance then get some scales. This is opinion - our opinion.

MSP struck by lightning
This mornings flight from Edinburgh was struck by lightning.
There is no truth in the rumour that it was aimed at our MSP who was on the flight.
Jokes about "lightning rods" and "lighting balls" are invited.....
"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you!"
Very good Sammy, question is did the famous oily Quiff catch fire thus endangering life and limb of his fellow travellers? Was he an ADS traveller, and is he going to spend the week- end in the constituency or scuttle back to Selkirk? Yours, Biggles.
Waste of time Angus. The guy is the 3 blind monkeys rolled into 1. He would have thought all the concern shown was interest in a very important person (himself). The event would be totally lost on him.
Many of the "comments" on this post are on a similar level to the embarrassing letter from Uig in this week's Gazette which, surrounded by the excellent letters about the windfactory, looks even more foolish than if it had appeared on its own, especially the bit...
"...Angus Macneil who may have hoped the cancerous growth of his Westminster campaign would have spread to Holyrood."
Dear oh dear. Certainly made me wince when I read it, and not for political reasons.
Ezekiel 25:17.

ReplyDeleteYours,

ReplyDeleteObama.
Can we get our fine statesman to recreate the famous Ben Franklin experiment with a kite, a key and a lightning storm?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that most of the island will turn out to hear him promise that the SNP will abolish lightning in an indepdent Scotland.
what a sad post.
