The table below is, I am very, very, reliably informed is the current recycling rate on the schools project.
School | Waste Material (Tonnes) | CnES Landfill (Tonnes) | Recycle Rate |
Nicolson Institute | 39349 | 73 | 99.8% |
SES | 13604 | 64 | 99.5% |
Balivanich PS | 2.3 | 0.3 | 87% |
Point PS | 10164 | 0 | 100% |
West Side PS | - | - | - |
These figures are much more than impressive and hopefully the hard work - and detailed planning - will be noticed and appreciated by the wider public.
Absolutely. I think there should be a full audit of all of this so that these wonderful lessons can be learned for the whole of the UK - or wider even!
ReplyDeleteWow it's amazing how good our council is at dealing with rubbish, must be all the practice they give themselves!
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmm wonder what we would get if we recycled the councillors? answers on a postcard please .....
What have they done with it all?
ReplyDeleteWill building the Nicolson on rubbish make it sink faster or slower than the council building?
ReplyDeletebut can we believe ANY of this rubbish......
ReplyDeleteThanks 8.29 that was what i wondered??
ReplyDeleteso what did they do with it all?
ReplyDeleteTo believe, or not to believe --that is the question:
ReplyDeleteWhether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The bins and wheelbarrows of ground conditions, or ask - why lie?
If I remember correctly 95% is considered good so the figures here are very impressive.
ReplyDeleteIt shows what you can do when you put your minds to it.
