Signing the wrong EDM
MacNeil claims that he signed the right EDM, and that it was a 'clerical error' and that he intended to sign the EDM below.
As you can see, Mr MacNeil signs a lot of EDMs and the one that is the subject of dispute has now disappeared from the list.
Just so you understand the situation, EDMs are pinned to a notice board, and then each MP can append their signature in the space below. They are then typed up and presented to the House.
The 'clerical error' excuse is vaguely similar to the excuse for the cock-up on the expenses front, previously reported here.
The reality is apparently much more mundane. I am told that our MP was tired and emotional after a hard day in the offices and other facilities of the Parliamentary building, and simply signed it without reading carefully.

You should know by now that there There is always someone else to blame when our distinguished and erstwhile MP' indiscretions ares concerned, usually some anonymous poor soul "clerk" or some such, and noe that it is blindingly obvious that he can barely read or write, what will the poor soul do if he is sacked in May? I hear his re election slogan is going to be "It wisnae me, blame the SNP!"

It is an SNP trait, from Wee Eck down, to blame someone else. Angus Brendan has shown himself to be devoid of any sense of strategy. This was demonstrated a few months ago), when he first lambasted the UK government at PMQ, only to plead for their help again 15 minutes later on the issue of the Uist Range. This man is as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
lol, well done incredulous eye , you've now got more devoted unionist fans than Jeff at SNP tactical voting.
Some achievement.
I took MacNeil out on the lash last Saturday in Stornoway, and I can guarantee he was not totally pissed when he left my house at 4am on Sunday morning.
MacNeil was not drunk, as he kept his jacket on all the time.
