Yes, you say "best way". But that's not necessarily the same as "I will run". So ... can you confirm or deny that you will run for a seat on the council in the next election?
(Or, here's a wild card, as an independent in the forthcoming general election...)

Have heard and seen it all before - "I'm going to change the world" - Reality is however different and elected "rebels" soon become establishment figures.
Remember their noses are all in the same trough.
The late Angus Graham was going to sort them all out but he didn't beat City Hall. They made him Vice Convenor so that he was on the inside pissing out.

I had decided I would't -couldn't vote for AB again - he doesn't deserve to be re-elected and could not bring myself to vote for MacSween -so I wasn't going to vote.
Now we have a 3rd and credible choice and it's Murdo who will get my vote.

Murdo Murray says the Lord will decide. In that case, the Almighty decided in 2007 that Murdo was not up to the job.
Why then is Murray, a fiercely-ambitious sabbatarian and denier of human rights, so eager to move against the Lord's will?
Or does he believe that the Lord's will is like his own interpretation of the bible - wishy-washy and subject to constant revision?

angus graham was a good man. he had agendas, sure, but also a tad of integrity - a rare quality in politicians here.
angus - if you're thinking of running, go for the big one first. and fight it on the independent/ integrity ticket. You might lose your deposit (actually I think you'll win the seat) but I guess the council compensation would pay for that ?????
Why don't you go for the big one next month as an independent? Society at large would benefit from someone having a go at breaking down the incestuous cabals which have become untouchable. Go for it and restore balance in democracy!
