It could be worse.....

Much as we might like to have a go at the Council, we could be in Edinburgh, where they can't find their St Andrew's Sq with both hands.

No-one, but no-one, but no-one is coming out of this with any credit.

"It's everyone else's fault" will be the refrain as they all independently change their minds, in light of the change in circumstance and exactly as instructed by the Party hierarchy.

Latest estimates to complete the scheme range from £700m to £13.7/6 and a bag of wine gums.  However, the price will have to include humiliation for the Council group leaders and a few heads of Councillors and Officers.

May be worse for Edinburgh than CNES in terms of big numbers, but all public offices are coated in a thick layer of Teflon. This means that no matter how much they and their employees screw up, no matter how much public money they spend on themselves and poorly planned projects, no matter how much money they pay out in compensation because of their own wrong doings, no matter how badly they treat their staff, and no matter how many useless 'twats' they employ because they are mates, relatives or girl/boyfriends, they will always get away with it. They have necks like brass and the word 'humiliation' worries them no more than the word banana. Audit Scotland or audit whoever are just more of the same sort of useless numpties who swan around with their eyes conveniently shut having had a nice lunch and a promise of a year's supply of black pudding.

Because Local Authorities are not a business and do not have to make profits or provide their own money, they really couldn't give a toss. Council tax paying schmucks like us cough up each year or risk being sent to jail or having our dishwasher confiscated. No such punishment in the making for those that waste millions and then shrug their shoulders and move on to the next toss pot, junket or meeting to see what else they can make a balls of. I was one of those people that thought perhaps the looters and rioters of last month should be shot or made to watch BBC Alba for two weeks. Well, having sat open mouthed watching the pathetic excuses come from the backsides of all concerned with the Edinburgh tram project and after reading some of the cobblers on Campbell's bleeding Sblog, we could do no worse than ask some of those criminals to run our Local Authorities. Oh, hang on...
Is it no wonder that people are really, really pissed off!!
Thank you.
