Flights to the islands
Instead of the BA dark blue on their underside, they are now FlyBE light blue; and whilst the majority of the plane is a blank white canvass, I suspect that we are going to see them fully painted as FlyBE very shortly.
The new timetable seem interesting, with up to 5 flights a day; but it unclear which planes are going to be used. Presumably, the Loganair ones will be operating somewhere....
Costs seem lower, but it also appears impossible to through ticket on FlyBe, but if you are going onward on a BA flight then do so via the BA website.
ADS was not operational, but this (one assumes) is imminent.

ADS for Flybe:
http://www.flybe.com/cam/adsInit.do
seems to be working.
The existing Loganair planes have been reliveried since the beginning of June. I was on a flight back to SYY and I overheard the stewardess saying it to another passenger. Apparently the staff are transferring over too, so there should be familiar faces to be seen.
The ADS website link for FlyBe has been there since the beginning of July for anyone needing to book a flight from October onwards. There didn't seem to be much difference in the cost of flights
:(
It's the list of destinations that we'll be able to fly to from SYY that makes interesting reading!
Clearly, FlyBe are not going to offer through-ticketing as they are a seperate entity to BA.
A number of the Saab 340s have already been to Denmark for repainting, and this will continue over the summer months.
Of course they are slowly getting painted one by one.... will avoid painting a lot of planes on the same night.
Through ticketing to BA flights....., eh?? That may be for the same reasion as you can't through ticket to PIA flights or any others.... they are different companies. Try Thomas Cook if you want that service.
ADS was working fine on July 2nd.

Prices seem comparable - although selecting a seat which was free with BA/Loganair costs £6 with Flybe/Loganair...same planes, same staff but apparently not the same seats...
You could not book seats on Loganair flight when they were operated by British Airways either. Seat will still be allocated at check-in as before, so there will not be Ryanair type scrums!
I'm sure if you are there in plenty time or check-in online you can still get an A or exit seat as before unless peolple choose to pay for that seat at time of booking, which is a new service Flybe is incorporating into the Loganair product.
Would anyone *really* pay extra money for a seat allocation on these flights? You're in the air for a matter of minutes. It's not like e.g. an 11 hour flight to California from the mainland.
