Any proven errors of fact made will be corrected in the original article, or by publishing a correction at the same degree of prominence, or both. This doesn't look good for the Outer Hebrides :-(
Scale it up, and a proportionally similar effect would be roughly a quarter of a million jobs disappearing from the UK.
