BBC licence fee
- crimes against humour on Saturday nights
- stupid pullovers
- rampant pomposity
- trying to promote your Sky TV programme
- having a stupid beard
- Mr Blobby (which should be enough in itself)
- generally being an arse
The blog formerly known as "Angus Nicolson - an incredulous eye on the isles" this was the blog of an ordinary, boring, former Councillor in the Western Isles of Scotland.
Angus is taking a sabbatical to be with his young family

Any proven errors of fact made will be corrected in the original article, or by publishing a correction at the same degree of prominence, or both. As far as practical, others who have quoted the article will be requested to make a note in their article - this would include, for example pinging back with the correction those who had linked to the original piece.
If articles are ever removed, a statement of why that has been done will be left in situ.
The rest is entirely at my discretion.

I think that's a tad unfair. There was nothing wrong with Mr Blobby.

what a stupid blog - Noel Edmonds actually stated that the licence fee is exceptionally good value for money. He said he was making a principled stand against the BBCs stance of threatening people into paying their TV fee.
In my opinion, his Saturday night show was extremely good entertainment, and Saturday night TV died with it. Mr Blobby was much loved. Noel was also very popular on the radio, and a very funny DJ - with his tortoise-RSPCA prank one of the funniest Ive ever heard.
And calling on bringing back capital pubishment for failing to pay TV licences a bit far - but i do detect some tongue and cheek there, although still, not very good.
I totally agree with the blogger. And I've said much the same thing at Auld Reekie Rants
Did he do this the week before his new series started on non-BBC tv? No. The week after? No.
Self-publicity. End of.
Bring back Mr Blobby
It's not the BBC who send out threatening letters.
The use of capital punishment would help solve the chronic shortage of human organs!
