Error of judgement

I understand that Angus Campbell spoke up for Norman "Docus" MacDonald, over Roddy MacKay as his Vice-Chair of Policy and Resources.

Sorry, Angus, but that was just wrong. The Chair is a servant of the Comhairle in the matter of the selection of the Vice-Chair, and you should have stayed quiet, whatever your personal view.

Roddy MacKay was quite right to feel deeply aggrieved about this behaviour, and Angus should remember that we were all novices once.

I find the whole Jobs for the boys way of doing things fairly corrupt, This is probably one of the main reasons why the independant system is wrong. Which one of these new councillors were elected on the basis of doing something, it's just back to the old system of policy being driven by the council officials and not the democratic will of the people.
By the way what's the SNP councillors stance on Windfarms in this session, are they for or against?

Why ask me? I'm persona non grata!

OK. AFAIK, the majority are for windfarms, but planning matters are an individual's decision and cannot be mandated by a political party. To try to do so is potentially a criminal offence, as I told the local SNP when they tried to do exactly that.

I was there, and it was appalling. You went. Labour got control. Labour control. Snp shot themselves in the foot. You must be laughing.

when you look at the senior posts within the council it does not seem to be split across party lines but there are definite lines of difference
