Deliberately obscure and smug comment
(Just for clarification, this is about me and my family and no-one else)
The blog formerly known as "Angus Nicolson - an incredulous eye on the isles" this was the blog of an ordinary, boring, former Councillor in the Western Isles of Scotland.
Angus is taking a sabbatical to be with his young family
Debate strengthens democracy, except inside the SNP, as he has discovered.
If you want balance then get some scales. This is opinion - our opinion.
Any proven errors of fact made will be corrected in the original article, or by publishing a correction at the same degree of prominence, or both. As far as practical, others who have quoted the article will be requested to make a note in their article - this would include, for example pinging back with the correction those who had linked to the original piece.
If articles are ever removed, a statement of why that has been done will be left in situ.
The rest is entirely at my discretion.

Huh ?
The other two are so well established they are going to be tough to shift. If you need a hand give us a call, I will keep my axe handy.
I think that this is the point where I said to myself - 'Why do people have blogs ?'
Is it to share with close ones ? (In which case, why make it public.)
Is it to memorialise (In which case, why make it public.)
Is is to hint, rant or gossip ?
I don't know.
What I do know is that this blog has now, with this last author's post, become the equivalent of 'behind the bike shed and stub the cigarette out before Sir sees us'.
6:32pm then stop reading it! but you know you can't. The point is that it is a very good and balanced source of local information by people who don't have an axe to grind or political intentions. It is honest and not driven by pound notes or political ambition..
Lighten up, its just a bit of a laff. Angus keeps it going and we all get to rant at each other. Who cares? Enjoy
Smug perhaps, but very well done.
Might I enquire gently (and with some lack of knowledge) whether this is a 'surcharge issue' ?
