The next challenge for the Council....

A Devon town council has been acting "unlawfully" by listing prayers on its meeting agendas, the National Secular Society told the High Court.
Given that every meeting of the Full Council at the Comhairle currently starts with prayer, just how long before a mischievous Councillor asks for a review of its lawfulness?

I recall the look of horror, anger and then mock piety on the face of one current sanctimonious Councillor every time a Catholic prayer (sic) started proceedings.

I am interested to see how this one goes. If Councils are banned from prayers so as not to upset the secular why as a Republican should I have to be forced to endure the Queen's Anthem on public occasions, sporting events etc?

Going by the list of names on the SNP (alleged) sponsored News website they will need all the prayers they can muster.

LOL 10:30

If Unionists like me are prepared to vote SNP to rid our selves of the crass lazy and selfish club that represents us now the Nats are going to sweep the board.
