Parliamentary Agenda

One of the most important decisions that the new Scottish Parliament has taken is to arrange their holidays.

These holidays are (sharp intake of breath):-

30 June - 2 September 2007

6 - 21 October 2007

22 December 2007- 4 January 2008

9 - 17 February 2008

29 March - 13 April 2008

28 June - 31 August 2008

The first of these dates is - and the MSP's seem to have had an irony bypass here - the official opening of the 3rd Scottish Parliament, which involves a large garden party, lots of guests, and presumably a few drinks for the members. Life is tough!

Don't worry Angus I'm sure that our own Mr. Allan will give us lots to reflect on during his holiday period, after all he has been so hard at work during his first 2 months in office, I can bearly keep up with the achievements and exciting prospects for Islands during the forthcoming 46 months.

Another thought springs to mind. Does the summer holiday count towards the SNP's first 100 days in office or does it give them yet more wriggle room not to deliver their pre election promises?
