The truths they don't want you to read....
The blog formerly known as "Angus Nicolson - an incredulous eye on the isles" this was the blog of an ordinary, boring, former Councillor in the Western Isles of Scotland.
Angus is taking a sabbatical to be with his young family
Debate strengthens democracy, except inside the SNP, as he has discovered.
If you want balance then get some scales. This is opinion - our opinion.
Any proven errors of fact made will be corrected in the original article, or by publishing a correction at the same degree of prominence, or both. As far as practical, others who have quoted the article will be requested to make a note in their article - this would include, for example pinging back with the correction those who had linked to the original piece.
If articles are ever removed, a statement of why that has been done will be left in situ.

yea, did notice a total lack of time allocated by the Beeb
On the other hand I had to switch from BBC scotland at half time because of the biased punditry.
I dont think there is one better than the other any more. David Sole's comments were vary good. Why is it immpossible to have unbiased commetary any more.
Yet again we beat England at Rugby or Football once every ten years and that makes evrything ok. This childish obsession with England is what holds our country back
There's nothing about England's defeat on the BBC News website main page this morning - but if it had been the other way around?
Agree with you 9.48. Let's give credit for a determined performance but it was at home, in filthy weather againsts a poor/demoralised England side. But lets's get some perspective - beating Italy away next week will be more difficult. I was more pleased for Wales who are playing the best rugby and scoring tries. I'm with Arsene Wenger on this one - it's good to win but winning isn't everything!
Yes Scotland won lets wave the flag and sing the song and continue the bigoted dislike of our neigbours on tribal grounds. Shame on you. The English have an expression for our crazy zenapobia "One Battle - A Thousand Songs"
As far as the Rugby goes it was a badly refereed game of kick ball -our rubbish was better than theirs and hardly an example by either side of International skill.
The game wasn't pretty and definitely not an advert for running rugby, but it was a win that the Scottish team needed, irrespective of who the opponents were. I think that the game in Rome on Saturday will be a much greater test for the players and will demonstrate if there's been any progress or if the Calcutta Cup win was a lucky break
The BBC news coverage was appalling - little or no mention of the result, with the focus being on Jonny's new world record..... And for this I pay a licence fee?
The result only goes to prove that miracles do still happen!
did we win something (I am pretty sic of the BBC, too)
7.45 personally i agree with 10.04!
9.18 Oh, thats an English expression is it? here was i thinking it was a British one.
