Freudian slip
Mr Paisley, who is due to turn 82 in April, stood down as moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church in January amid concerns about his duel role as the church's leader and first minister.
Non-confrontational politics were never his speciality.....

"This is not Apostolic succession and I have no right to say who will succeed me,"
If you believe this statement you will believe anything.
His successor's election will not be like the Russian Presidential Election then?
I hadn't looked at your tags before I made my earlier post.
Humour? there is nothing funny about the Rev Paisley.
I'll quote what Fergal Keene wrote about him in his Autobiography All of These People, as it aptly sums up what I feel about this tyrant. 'He (Paisley) preached intolerance but surrounded himself with a patina of respectablility; his words inflamed hatred but he kept a clear distance between himself and those who did the actual killing. When Ulster needed calm he created fury; when it needed words of peace he spat hatred; when those exhausted by conflict tried to make peace he stood outside the process, bellowing betrayal.
Ulster will be a better place without him and his ilk.
