Rugby

Depressed. Deeply.

Ireland were excellent - they were everything we were not - and we meet them in two weeks time. Were it not for the fun loving fans that would be an even more depressing thought.

It's only a game, and not avery good one at that, seeing as Scotland aren't doing too good just now. Tennis is a great game, for the time being, as Andrew Murray is doing very well just now, No. 13 in the world now, unlucky for some, yes the 450 others behind him in the current rankings. Cheer up!!! Tws.

Tomorrow, the Scotland team will jet off to the finals of the World Cup.

This comes on the back of Scotland's recent success in the World Cricket League, where they qualified for the finals of the Twenty20 World Championship, and also their victory in the ICC Inter-Continental Cup.

Scotland now lead the Associate ODI rankings ...thus officially ranking Scotland the 12th best nation out of the 96 playing nations of the International Cricket Council.

Scotland are in the toughest group, containing the Worlds number 1 and 2 teams. They open their campaign in St Kitts against Australia on March 14, then play South Africa on March 20 and the Netherlands four days later. Two wins out of three will see them progress to the latter stages. Many pundits are tipping Scotland as the side most likely to upset the big teams in the early stages and progress.

Cricket in Scotland has been on the rise in recent years. Cricket is the most-played summer sport, with a complex league system operating across Scotland. Over 200 clubs, 8,000 players and over 12,000 children alone access Cricket Scotland development programmes.

Please support Scotland, and let's hope they add yet more silverware to their already full trophy cabinet!
