Berlusconi backs Blair for EU job

Blair and Berlusconi
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has endorsed Tony Blair as his preferred candidate to be president of the European Union.
One is a right-wing millionaire megalomaniac within Messianic self-belief who destroyed the economy of his country, and the other is Prime Minister of Italy.

As you're judged by the company you keep then you can already see where the EU is going.

Is there nothing Tony won't do for a large wedge of cash?

Does this mean we're all screwed?

This is actually good. Berlusconi has no cred amongst the EU leaders. Less votes for TB. Anyway, France and Germany don't want ol' Tone to be emperor of Europe, so it's looking very good. Probably the Spanish or Luxembourg bloke will get it.

I think this ranks with Kissinger getting the Nobel peace prize - it's beyond satire.

8:40AM The current one isn't doing so good either. Tens of thousands more troops to Afghanistan...let freedom and peace (and bombs) reign!

12:11PM I'll do it free!

i would also pay a large amount of money to see TB do nothing (optionally not even breathe)

War criminal? YEs, perhaps - along with Mrs Thatcher.
Ruining the economy? Not alone, not without the greedy few who line their pockets regardless. And yes, I'm talking hedge funds etc here

remember the outbreak of TB killed more than in the two world wars!
