Callanish
The Callanish factory looks to have a brighter future with Equateq opening a super Omega-3 factory.
I haven't a clue what "super Omega-3" is or whether I have too little (or too much) in my current diet, or whether I should be taking a supplement, but that's really irrelevant.
It is a wonderful opportunity to develop another high-skill product here on the islands, and attract back our graduates to work, live and bring up children here.

You're probably okay for Omega-3, but you may want to focus more on your Vitamin D intake.
Have to correct you on one thing, Angus: the factory you refer to is in Breasclete, on the pier.
but 'callanish' sounds so much better, easier for the visitors in WIE to pronounce, anyway they don't let the facts get in the way- Glumaig in Sy harbour was transformed into 'west harbour' by our betters...

nasty comments, particularly from silversprite.Anyway Angus, omega3 'balances out' our (western) diet which is over-rich in omega6.
silversprite and I have a running joke over my relative youth, after he (mis)described me in another forum.
I believe I have a standing invite for a cup of coffess and some coleslaw so I think I know that his comments are tongue in cheek.

Nasty comments? Given some of the stuff allowed on this blog, these seem quite tame by comparison.
After his time on the council, I'm certain he can handle some mild "abuse" about him making some mistakes. As an accountant, I'm sure he also appreciates the importance of accuracy.
