Absolutely. As agreed yesterday. let's get him out. He invalidated his membership by proposing to stand as an independent.

Any truth in the rumour that a new blog is currently in the making in the Isles?

Apparently waiting for Monday when a big story will be revealed. A warts and all account of the life and characters in the Western Isles.

Certainly sounds like it is going to shock a lot more people than the perceived establishment...

is the forgrery that someone mistakes the whining, childish, gossippy, telltale Allan for a serious politician?

Presumably he got his 'information' from Donnie Gazette, husband of the WI SNP Chairwoman? which makes it as unreliable as possible.

Angus, you were expelled on the basis of second-hand gossip repeated by a scared and pathetic little boy. i bet the local snp members are cringing at his tantrum

anon 8.09 must be either angus or the dirgruntled former employee. why didn't the DFE speak to the Chairman of Environmental Services at the time of his departure????

At least one crucial omission and an apparent addition.

The omission is the email header - who was it sent to by Ian McCann before it got to Duncan Ross? Alex Salmond perchance?

The addition is the additional indents ">" in the first two lines. They shouldn't exist, or if they do then the rest of the message should be double indented to indicate the next author.

Conclusion: the header and circulation list has been cut to hide to whom it was sent. Any other responses from others have been cut out of the message, and a bland comment by McCann left in.

Looks like it is forged and incomplete, so you must complain to the Information Commissioner and find out what the SNP have cut - and why.

BTW Angus, did they ever contact you to find out if what you might have said to the Gazette?

How high? Do you seriously think that Alex Salmond has anything to do with the expulsion of minor members?! Please don't flatter Angus with that!

First commenter; there are several such blogs. Are you referring to this one:

...which has been up for a while now.

Looks like Allan's staff are working overtime (Anon 12:35) to excuse his imbecilism.

Either Angus is so important that his immediate expulsion is demanded and actioned the same day without any attempt to check the accuracy of the report that didn't appear subsequently in the Gazette - an action which would undoubtedly have been sanctioned by Alex Salmond, given Angus' position as Group Leader - or he was so unimportant that his expulsion was unneccessary.

Which is it?

I think you should call the Bayhead office for an appointment with the MSP. Also to tell them you were looking for advice regarding the Data Protection Act. Also give a false name and I bet he would shit himself when you appeared.

Is that SNP Councillor Grant Thoms wishing you all the best when standing as an independent, and describing you as "by far the best councillor on Comhairle!"?

Anonymous said...

Did Grant Thoms get expelled for wishing a potential independent luck. No, there's a surprise. You know Angus, that they were just looking for an excuse to shut you up as the local SNP's voice as it strengthened their position on wind farms.

I hope you have the guts to go all the way with this and complain to the appropriate authorities. I can hear the shredders going at SNP HQ from here....
