Palace coup?

Word reaches me of a meeting of senior people to discuss the problems at the top; arising from dissatisfaction with the incumbent's/incumbents' ability to discharge their functions.

Would any of the attendees like to provide me with more information?

Nothing sinister, Angus. You should know the rules. The SNP, like all other democratic parties always selects/reselects candidates prior to any election. So, the Party is doing what all others do; it’s going through a (re)selection process. The outcome will be known shortly. In all likelihood, Angus Brendan will face no challenge. But then again – the system is open, democratic and fair.

Will the truth about the Shetland Games come out at the General election I wonder

record of not having a go at Angus and Alasdair in threads is NOT GOOD.

Agenda. Hidden. Not so hidden. Obvious.

Boy oh boy.
I was the one who gave Angus this story and it was absolutely nothing to do with the SNP whatsoever.
How paranoid are you lot in the SNP?
At least you have now given us some info that we didn't have before. I had heard through the grapevine that the local clique (branch) were plotting ABM's demise just hours after AA was elected. I hope you advertise widely for candidates so that we can get rid of the waste of space we currently have at Westminster.

I was going to string this out, just to see what other confessions and accusations I could get.... :-)

Usually our MP falls over himself to issue press statements congratulating people from the Western Isles when they achieve anything of note. (Now, that in itself is no bad thing) But can anyone tell me why he has failed to issue a statement congratulating the Isles Select football squad which secured a bronze medal in Rhodes and why the clearly brilliant Eilidh Mackenzie wasn’t congratulated for winning a gold medal in the 800metres. Surely, this has nothing to do with the games in Shetland

"i keep asking. WHAT happened at the Shetland Games??"

Surely nothing, otherwise we'd have read it in the Sunday Mail (or here) by now?
